A herd of reindeer was seen taking a stroll in beautiful Bakkafjörður
A herd of reindeer was seen taking a stroll in beautiful Bakkafjörður, Northeast Iceland on Sunday. “They are incredibly tame. We can drive past them, and they just run a few meters and stop,” Járnbrá Ólafsdóttir told RÚV. She captured the Sunday stroll on video.
The reindeer normally stay in the east and southeast, but have moved to the northeast corner. “This is probably the third or fourth winter that they come down to the village,” Járnbrá said. “The kids love being able to see wildlife through the bedroom window or the classroom window.”
